Requested move edit

Bruno just redirects to "Bruno (disambiguation)", better to have the disambiguation page at Bruno then. Can't do the move myself because there is a two entry history. --S.K. 14:45, 18 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

I've done the move. Talrias (t | e | c) 10:53, 22 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

I had to do it again, as someone had reinstated the redirect. (Yes, I know the incidents were 18 months removed from each other.) Powers T 13:46, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Definiton edit

"It is derived from the Germanic word brun meaning Shield or Armor" while the linked Wiktionary entrance states that "From Italian, German etc continental European Bruno, name of medieval Italian and German saints and royalty, Latinized form of Old High German brūn (“brown”). The surname is mostly borrowed from Italian Bruno." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.238.209.101 (talk) 10:41, 14 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

To corroborate, Etymonline gives: masc. proper name, from Old High German Bruno, literally "brown"

I am really surprised that a change by an anonymous IP from "brown" to "Shield" went unchallenged from so many years!!!! Changing it back... AstroNomer (talk) 15:51, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Here is the change, for those who want to check it.
