Let us offer our condolences to the family of Prof. Trigger. He was truly a great Canadian and giant in archaeology. Let us honour the great contributions to archaeology made by Professor Trigger by expanding this article and give a more detailed accounting of his work.Mumun 11:54, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Although I never met Dr. Trigger (I had opportunity, but unfortunately was too shy to approach him) I admire his work deeply. The ethnohistorical community, and the Canadian academic community, are poorer for his absence. Expanding his entry here is, as Mumun suggests, a way of honouring his achievements.Talented Mr Miller 15:27, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Was Dr. Trigger briefly at Columbia ca. 1966?

This is a minor point, but I have a vague recollection that Dr. Trigger may have been briefly at Columbia University for a few terms ca 1966. Possibly he was a postdoc; but I think the person in question was actually teaching? Is this correct or am I confusing him with someone else, I could well be? FurnaldHall (talk) 21:30, 26 March 2009 (UTC) LATER: I did a quick check, and according to online biographies he seems already to have been teaching at McGill at this time, so there is no easily available evidence for Columbia, but I have a vague, and probably faulty, as it is now looking, recall his possibly having been there.FurnaldHall (talk) 18:19, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
