The result of the move request was: no consensus to move the page to any particular title at this time, per the discussion below. Brodmann area 44 → Opercular part of inferior frontal gyrus – Proper name for that part of the surface anatomy of the brain; use of Brodmann area adds a confusing mix of cytoarchitecture; in line with Orbital part of inferior frontal gyrus and other descriptive anatomic terms such as Angular gyrus is used and a separate entry for Brodmann area 39 is also used; same for primary motor cortex and separate page for Brodmann area 4; again Supramarginal gyrus and separate page BA 40, and so on. These are informative terms to a reader, unlike sole use of BA numbers; any neuroanatomy book shows descriptive terms on brain diagrams unless specifiying cytoarchitecture. I agree that the pages should be merged. I have no opinion on whether "Opercular part of inferior frontal gyrus" or "Brodmann area 44" should be the title of the resulting page. I recommend that the other pairs be merged as well. The separate pages imply that these are separate structures, which can be confusing. --Iamozy (talk) 22:23, 10 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

The suggestion was to rename the page not to merge. And since areas 41 and 42 have their own single page entry suggest Brodmann areas 44 and 45 have their own single page. --Iztwoz (talk) 23:29, 10 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Merge to a subsection of Broca's area. The needless and confusing subdivision into articles about Broca's areas only confuses things. Moving to a macroscopically defined structure as per Iztwoz would be supported if this doesn't have consensus--Tom (LT) (talk) 23:42, 16 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
