Tyco International (Parent company of ADT Security) is acquiring Broadview Security. Article needs to be update. Broadview doesn't "rent" their security equipment. If you stop paying, they don't send someone to come take it away. Also if you move, you can't take it with you. Not sure how else to phrase it but it isn't a rental. Also that entire paragraph is poorly done. 74.94.241.42 (talk) 16:01, 27 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

article needs balance edit

i came here to find some encyclopedic info about this company. but the criticism section takes up most of the article. i'd think a responsible editor, before pushing the advertising controversies, would flesh out other sections so the article as a whole would be more balanced. Advertising Controversies edit

The controversial advertising fielded by Broadview Security during their rather short run as an independent company (after they were spun-off by Brinks and prior to their acquisition by ADT/Tyco), deserves prominent mention, as they arguably consisted of scare tactics. need to prepare for acquisition edit

Tyco's acquisition of Broadview, merging it with ADT Security is set to be completed May 14th, 2010. We need to prepare this article for this aquisition. I'm not sure if this article should have a re-direct to ADT Security Services, or done in some other way. I'm not an expert when it comes to this. Smithw14 (talk) 01:56, 6 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Redirect edit

The company became part of ADT - that is where its business and customers went 8 years ago. I merged the content to ADT and that is where the redirect should go. Jytdog (talk) 21:05, 1 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
