Sir/Lord Denis/Denys/Dennis Chalk/Chalke edit

I removed this name from the article as I couldn't find any references to a person of that name under any of the above spellings. Apologies if he is a real person, but would whoever replaces him please add a link to verify his existence? --Whoosher 12:01, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dennis Chalk, the founder and musical director of Wilton and district youth band, has been reinstated. http://www.wdyb.freeuk.com/Autodidactyl 15:50, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

There's no need for sarcasm in your edit summary. I honestly spent around 10 minutes searching for the name on the internet using Wikipedia and Google, and nothing came up under any combination. As the name had been added by an anonymous author, I took the risk it was somebody messing about. An honest mistake, but there was no call for you to be so sarcastic in your summary. --Whoosher 19:51, 24 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think someone a long time ago must have inserted Sir as a joke. Dennis Chalk has got the BEM and I edited the page some months ago to restate most of the text, except for Sir Chalkeman (talk) 13:55, 6 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
