insecure? edit

Ok, so whos the one that's so insecure about being a Christian that they're going to write this mans Bio like an advertisment for sunday school? There is absolutely no need to mention the 'Christian household' bit. Referring to god and how he turned, repetedly, ......well, this is his bio. Not his Auto-Bio or a page for his "Christians love head" fan club. Go back an read that page--the image it leaves you with is 99% the opposite of what the entire world knows this person as he potrayed himself. The truth is cool...just not so much spin. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 134.132.185.100 (talk) 16:35, 12 December 2006 (UTC).Reply

Hardly edit

From what I can tell the biography reflects Brain Welch's life. "There is absolutely no need to mention the 'Christian household' bit". Unless of course he actually was raised in a Christian household (This fact was reported by CNN as well, and as such contributes to the article). In response to "99% the opposite". The reversal took place, Welch has publicly chosen to portray himself differently. To not detail this reversal in Welch's biography would be like writing a biography on Malcolm X and failing to mention that he converted to the Nation of Islam. In response to "the entire world knows". Are you citing the "entire world" as your source? In short, the above post doesn't seem to defend it's criticisms of the biography with any supporting evidence. It's not a perfect biography, but I don't think there's any real proof of "spin". Foul-Mouthing about Korn in his Book edit

Go to www.billboard.com, or Head's official website, and see what this is all about. He's talking trash about Korn, the band that basically gave him everything: fame, money, and prominence. As "icing on the cake," his book will be released shortly before Korn's Untitled album. In the words of Jonathan Davis himself, "it's okay if you want to leave the band, but don't talk shit about us after you leave." Dark Executioner 16:38, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Dark ExecutionerReply

Who cares if he's foul-mouthing Korn? It's his right to do so. Clearly he doesn't want the fame or money any more, and he left for a reason, which is what he's expressing now. "Jonathan Davis himself"? It sounds like you're glorifying Jon. I'm a fan of a lot of Korn's earlier music, but they are not infallible. Coconuteire 09:13, 19 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
This is not the place for this discussion, but the sources I've read don't indicate that Welch was defaming them. When I interviewed him in 2005, he spoke very well of them, rather cordially, however he did indicate that he no longer was of the same values as they are. The suggestion that "they" (Korn) gave him everything that he has is rather salacious, considering they owe a great deal to him, being that musically he was the leader, while Davis was the lyricist. Much of their fame is owed to him, not the other way around. But anyway, this isn't the place to discuss this. lincalinca 07:17, 20 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

what a load of bull crap, did you read it yourself? head and korn are fine again, they state that all the time in recent interviews. jonathan said he's ok with the book and it wasnt as bad as he expected since there were rumours it would be bashing the band. brian send them a copy with something like 'i love you, read it yourselves, it is what it is'. so korns new songs 'ever be' and 'love & luxury' dont make much sense lyricwise, though brian said maybe he deserved them for some stuff he said about korn right after he left. but no one is bashing anyone so dont stir up shit. btw head said he isn't sure about the title 'time to see religion die', and those old songs like 'kry' aren't on the album. it will be all heavy, guitar stuff. no offense, but watch and read more interviews if you're managing this article. there's too much crap and missing info.

You interviewed him, Lincalinca? Okay. Speaking to someone isn't really an interview. Either way, I haven't heard that it was "defaming" the band either, infact, I heard he is on good terms with the band as well, though that is disputed. The article (in that extent) is fine. he wasnt raised in a christian household. He says in his book that his parents didnt become christians untell after he did wich was way after he moved out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.7.115.16 (talk) 21:58, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Lead Guitarist? edit

There was never a lead guitarist in Korn, so I dont see the reasoning behind listing Head as the lead guitarist. I think it should be removed.--DevilsAlwaysCry 02:22, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I was under the impression that he was the lead guitarist and Shaffer was the rhythm guitarist until he left... there weren't any solos prior to him leaving, so it's hard to verify, but I think I came across that somewhere else a while ago. John R S 02:49, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
on the deuce dvd both of the guitarists state that head was the main guitarist and munky usually played off of him. i.e. head would write a riff and munky would play something that went well with it.65.43.213.210 14:45, 15 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Read the title of his book. It states that he is the lead as one of the many proofs. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.97.35.21 ([[User talk:{74.97.35.21} (talk · contribs · [https://tools.wmflabs.org/whois/gateway.py?lookup=true&ip=74.97.35.21}

korn never head a clear lead guitarist, though they now refer too brian as one all the time in interviews and he doesn't correct them. i'm a korn fan but i dont really care and im sure brian does neither. its just marketing. 'lead guitarist' sounds more powerful, more important, than just 'guitarist' and so his lifechange looks more impressive and interesting to read about. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.80.121.33 (talk) 14:44, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

In response to the person who said that Head was "not the lead guitarist," speak to anyone that worked for them before Brian left the band, and they will tell you differently. He was, indeed, the one who played any lead part and also wrote more of the guitar lines and riffs. Munky for years played the part of rhythm.

Last Paragraph edit

Deleted last paragraph, because it was subjective and sounded like an advertisement either for the book or for Christianity in general. 72.86.68.91 14:08, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
