I see that Rudman has a history degree. I'm thus assuming that he's the author of the biography for George McCullagh Reed: Rudman, Brian C. "George McCullagh Reed". Dictionary of New Zealand Biography. Ministry for Culture and Heritage. Retrieved December 2011. {{cite web}}: Check date values in: |access-date= (help), which wouldn't be too inappropriate given that Reed wrote for the Herald, too. @Nurg: Regarding your edit summary at 1989 local government reforms, I once suggested that it gets confirmed that Rudman is indeed the historian who wrote the bio referred to above. Schwede 66 22:51, 12 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
