Extremely confusing edit

The information about name changes, who leads the group, and rights seems to be repeating information and/or is poorly organized, so much so that it's nearly incomprehensible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tonsil Crypt Ossuary (talkcontribs) 22:23, 24 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Musidor Allen Klein edit

Musidor are the company that claim rights on this as per both the LP and the "re issue" sleeve notes not alas Rolling Stones.

From Klien's wiki page "The Stones again Klein acquired the rights to all of The Rolling Stones' recordings from the 1960s and two from the 1970s. Klein's ABKCO label released the rarest of all Stones albums, Songs Of The Rolling Stones (1975). By the late 1990s, some of the 1960s albums were becoming hard to acquire on CD. Finally, in 2002, Allen's son Jody Klein oversaw a re-mastering of the 1960s albums, to much acclaim. Outside the US, they are licenced to Universal, now owner of their original home, Decca.

Klein bought the rights to music produced by Phil Spector, such as the Philles Records and Phil Spector International catalogues, in the 1980s."

Allen Klein and Bachir Attar re issue of Brian Jones presents the Pipes of Pan at Joujouka / Jajouka edit

"Allen Klein (born December 18, 1931) is an American businessman and record label executive. He is best known (and somewhat notorious) for his tenacious management of rock and roll performers in the 1960s, and the subsequent hostile acquisition and control of their works. Investigations by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission led to his trial, conviction, and prison sentence for insider trading and securities fraud." from Allen Klein

This sheds light on Bachir Attar's advocate User:BKLisenbee's claims that the Rolling Stones had something to did with the reissue of Brian Jones' LP.

"Studio album by Brian Jones etc" edit

The infobox describes this as a studio album; shouldn't it be described a live album? Ordinarily I would change this straightaway, but the vast amount of text above - which seems to be a dispute about spelling, my eyes glaze over - suggests that every word on the page has been bashed out in lengthy negotiations. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 20:23, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

it was a live recording but was treated in post production by Jones<;it falls between both stools I think Opiumjones 23 (talk) 22:58, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Page Move requested Brian Jones Presents The Pipes Of Pan At Jajouka to "Brian Jones presents the Pipes of Pan at Joujouka" edit

This would be logical as the first LP is the most sought after, the original and was approved by Brian Jones. The reissue is a controversial but a subsequent and less notable event save for the controversy and the non payment of advances and royalties to the actual musicians or their families.. The LP B J P T P O P at "Joujouka" 1971 is the only uncontested version and was the first release on Rolling Stones Records. This is another precedent and addition to the notability of the original.
