Image:Hundredwatts.jpg is being used on this article. Query on dates

As a personal friend of Malc Barrett ( from 1964 ) , Bob Walker and Steve Darrington ( continuing ) I am certain that the active dates are wrong. My recollection is that the Droop got together earlier ( maybe 1970, but maybe rehearsing rather than performing publicly ) and continued far longer , probably 1975. ( I have a self- made bootleg of their farewell concert , Steve let me put my recorder under his keyboards which blew up in mid- concert ( at their spiritual home - the Nag's Head, High Wycombe ) , however the recording is at my in- laws in Kenya so I cannot verify the date for now. I notified Wikipedia of these errors some years ago yet that correction has disappeared! )

Name

Was their name Brewers Droop or Brewer's Droop ? The article is titled the former but generally uses the latter. -- Beardo (talk) 00:14, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

Free Concert in Durham

In summer 1973 we casually passed through a free concert given in Durham across the footpath alongside the wide grassy banks of the River Wear next to the racecourse. At the time there was a guitarist on stage leading proceedings wearing blue jeans and a white T shirt playing a series of shortish blues guitar solos with pauses between. We stopped a while and I was quietly blown away by it all. It started drizzling and we had to get back to college for a meal. From a promotional poster in the college JCR we already knew Brewers Droop (knowing snigger) were part of the free concert. So looking back and putting it all together that could only have been Mark Knopfler. Stuffed Cat (talk) 13:34, 25 February 2024 (UTC)
