Greetings: Hi, Aggie Boron here from the UCF COM WikiMedicine elective. I will be working with my fellow classmate Katie Sparks to help edit this article.

Intro I will expand on the intro, adding information about the history of breast biopsies, the importance of it, and the most common types of breast biopsies.

Indications I will add in an indications section, where I will use evidence based guidelines to inform the readers about when a breast biopsy is indicated.

Fine Needle Aspiration I will expand the section on Fine Needle Aspiration, adding background on the procedure, indications, and methods.

This is an important article to many people and I’m glad that you selected this article. I’m impressed by the number of new sections you added to the article and the depth of the information you added to both the new sections and the old. You also improved the readability of the text that existed before your involvement. The sources you used are reliable secondary sources. The images included in the article are appropriate and help readers understand the FNA and surgical biopsies. Anyone curious about what a breast biopsy might involve and how one is done will be satisfied by reading your article. While the pictures included in the article are relevant, I think it could be helpful to include a picture of each biopsy modality in addition to those included for FNA and surgical biopsies. Readers may also appreciate reading about the statistics of breast biopsies, e.g. how many are done per year? You stated that 30% of biopsies in FNA may be inconclusive but knowing specific statistical outcomes about other modalities may be informative. It may also be helpful to link to other Wikipedia articles throughout your discussion of biopsy modalities and their adverse effects. Some of the language in the article is medical jargon that the average reader might not understand, e.g. palpable, cytology, seeding of tumor, lumpectomy. Peer Review Response: Thank you so much for your advice, I have so far edited the article to have a few more wiki-links to topics like "hematoma, cyst" etc so readers can look up those terms, I also removed some of the medical jargon and tried to make the article a bit more readable to the lay person.

Frontal biopsy

Term used here is somewhat ambiguous. If author meant percutaneous biopsy devices (such as ABBI™, Site-Select™), there still have not been included in standard clinical practice, due to high costs and lack of precission. Lb.at.wiki (talk) 18:04, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
