Requested Move

• Talk:Breadmaker – Bread maker → Bread machine – The title 'breadmaker' is misleading and incorrect; a bread maker is defined as an individual who professionally bakes bread. The appropriate page title should be Bread machine, which is an electronic appliance which creates dough and processes it on a prespecified schedule. I accidentally cut-and-paste moved it, and was chastised, so I'm turning here. —Asarkees 00:29, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

• I absolutely support this move. Breadmaker is ambiguous at best. The title reads like it refers to a person, not a machine. The content should be moved to Bread machine and then this page should be a disambig to direct either to bread machine or baker. Dave 00:33, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

I support the move and especially the disambig, since I know there are some, like me, that call it breadmaker, though bread machine is more correct. Verne Equinox 01:00, 22 February 2006 (UTC).

It just seems weird to list the page at a name that is not used to describe it for clarity's sake. I know that sounded muddled, but i think that I'm trying to say is that factual accuracy should be more important than having an unwieldy, heavily explicative title. We don't list "hat" at "piece of headgear used for decorative or functional purposes," y'know? It's a hat, and we list it at hat. Asarkees 18:01, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

Unnecessary template?

The otheruses template is probably unnecessary after the move. While Breadmaker and baker could be confused, it is unlikely that a person would confuse bread machine with baker. Vandalism to the History section
