Beraboh vs Berabow edit

To anyone concerned, and especially Gingerfield rocks and 193.164.112.20 (who I suspect to be the same user) : The two alternate names of the game appear to be both commonly used, so it has no point starting an edit war over them. IMHO we should just pick the one which seems more correct (e.g. MAME calls the game Beraboh Man, not Berabow Man) and mention the existence of the alternate spelling somewhere in the article, but we should NOT use a mixed format. Gingerfield rocks and 193.164.112.20 are NOT the same user. I checked. Gingerfield sucks 11:17, 12 January 2006

It's not my job to check on him (or them), that's the admins' job, but they make the same edits to exactly the same articles and write the same things on their talk pages (which they both blank). EpiVictor 12:22, 12 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
OH BTW, if you (yes, you know who you are) believe that the original name is "Berabow Man", "according to Namco's own listings", then provide some links and references, if that's really the case, and the article will use "Berabow" instead of "Beraboh" as a primary name, if that will help stopping the stupidest edit war ever...as you can see, I didn't deny the existence of Beraboh...oops, Berabow Man and even did far more research than you did on it...but blanking pages and making fanboy like, zealotic edits is not the way to attract attention, not on Wikipedia, as doing so will get you blocked sooner or later, and your credibility dropped to zero. EpiVictor 12:28, 12 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
I don't know Japanese so I can't say for sure but I suspect that "Chozetsou Rinjin" translates from Japanese to "Unequaled Man" while Berabow/Beraboh is simply a mistranslation of "Bravo" since the later English console ports are called "Bravoman"
There is "Berabow" in the high scores screen of the arcade version, but I'm not sure if that confirms the correct romanization. Parrothead1983 (talk) 02:35, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Eng"R"ishで意味が変わらないようにするため、日本語で書きます。 {べらぼう BERABOU}という日本語があります。 使い方は{馬鹿(ばか)}に似ています。 {べらぼう noun},{べらぼうな adjective},{べらぼうに adverb}という変化があります。 意味は、fool, crazy, unusual, unbelievable, unearthly, awful, very, super など。 ただし、nounは、江戸っ子(えどっこ old Tokyoite)の真似をして "べらぼうめ (You're a fool.)" と言うくらいしか使いません。 adjectiveとadverbには、foolという悪い意味はほとんどありません。 Example {べらぼうな話 unbelievable story} {べらぼうに速い車 very fast car}

(BERABOW BRAVO!)" "At last, I explain the title '超絶倫人ベラボーマン' which many people misunderstand. It's Chouzetsu Rin(riteki) Jin. (transcendence ethical human) It's NEVER Chou Zetsurin Jin." これは、{絶倫}の昔からの意味は{unequaled}で正しいのですが、 近年では{very strong sexial energetic}のような意味で使われることが多くなったからです。 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 111.188.10.111 (talk) 05:24, 4 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Trivia & humor section edit

I think this section should be deleted or at least rewritten to be more concise and less "fluffy". Kouban 17:26, 8 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, it could use a rewrite, but just for the sake of readability and not for pleasing we-all-know-whos semi-religious beliefs (yes, my patience with that user/users is running low, and so is many admins'). Just some things to keep in mind:
  • The "masturbatory gest" part, while I don't consider it disturbing, others may (it's just edits by User:193.164.112.20 that I can't lend any credibility to) but it's a, let's say, "fact" of the game easily verifiable with a screenshot, so a compromise should be found.
  • Similarities with Wonder Momo: apart from being both a kind of lesser superhero, notice how the first boss enemy in Wonder Momo looks like a cross between Bravoman and the electrocuter-robot enemy found in the game Bravoman, and how the second boss enemy in wonder momo (the yellow blocky mech) looks a lot like a similar end-stage boss in Bravoman, at least in the PCE version. Now, User:Gingerfield rocks and User:193.164.112.20 just keep throwing in random Namco games as "related" with Bravoman, ignoring all of these facts (all easily verifiable with screenshots, which I can provide as needed).
  • Less fluffy style: using whole paragraphs instead of a list-like format could help, perhaps? Also...adding or removing pictures as necessary ?
OK, awaiting suggestions/constructive edits :-) EpiVictor 14:48, 23 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Rewrite article edit

{{gameguide}} {{Expand Japanese|超絶倫人 ベラボーマン}} This article is becoming a mess, and needs to be rewritten using information translated from the Japanese article. Parrothead1983 (talk) 22:53, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Gameplay edit

  • "Posing" is an odd verb choice. Harmonia per misericordia. OmegaFallon (talk) 22:09, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • "Bravoman's sort-of partner Lottery Man" is oddly phrased as well. Harmonia per misericordia. OmegaFallon (talk) 22:09, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • "A drink that grants temporarily invincibility" -> "A drink that temporarily grants invincibility". Harmonia per misericordia. OmegaFallon (talk) 22:09, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • "Other bosses include the cyborg ninja Waya-Hime, a mechanical version of the king of Atlantis, and Pistol Daimyo, a shogun with a cannon attached to his head" which of these phrases separated by commas are individual bosses and which are continuations or descriptions is unclear. Consider using semicolons. Harmonia per misericordia. OmegaFallon (talk) 22:09, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • "and plentiful" is oddly phrased. Harmonia per misericordia. OmegaFallon (talk) 22:09, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Development and release edit

Reception edit

  • "In its initial release in Japan, Bravoman was praised", "but disliked its difficulty for being overly high and frustrating at times", "but criticized the difficulty for being too high and the new levels for sometimes being frustrating or overly long", and "interesting in its strangeness" could use some rephrasing.
