Talk:Boys' High School & College (Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh)

Latest comment: 7 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified

I have been a student of this school, and I can see these obvious faults: 1)There is no mention of some of the famous alumni of this school: the film actor Amitabh Bachchan and the computer scientist Nitin Saxena for example. 2)It is not the first institution in UP to start humanities in its College Section. 3)The article seems to give disproportionate importance to the performance of its students in tests and examinations. Well, the article does talk about Amitabh Bachchan. Piyush 00:00, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Possible Vandalism: Insertion of alumni without justification of notability edit

This article seems to be periodically vandalised by the insertion of alumni not satisfying the notability criteria. I just deleted(unfortunately, anonymously) some such attempts. Please discuss notability of alumni here before insertion in the article. Piyush Sriva (talk) 06:54, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I do not like this, but I just had to remove several names from the list of alumni on this page. Please provide citations establishing notability before including names in the list. It would be best to propose inclusions here, and to proceed only after a discussion. Piyush (talk) 07:20, 6 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:BHS.jpg edit

Image:BHS.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
