Talk:Boot image

Latest comment: 12 years ago by 89.204.153.224 in topic Proposed deletion

I am not convinced this page needs a cleanup. It covers a very important point on PC management that is currently being badly handled by a vast amount of computer installations.

Perhaps this article could have a few more references, but not enough has been written on this subject. I will check to see what else has been written on this.

I will look for further comments or cleanup initiatives on this talk page. If I see no further reasons given to suggest why this page needs a cleanup, I will remove the cleanup tag from the page on Jan. 2, 2007. Danking341 20:59, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure this article is 100% correct. Whenever I've heard the term "boot image" in the past, it has always referred to an image of a boot sector which can be transferred to/from a real boot sector. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.7.25.49 (talk) 01:35, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Okay, PROD did not fly, and I'm not in the mood to try AfD (anyway shaky for unregistered editors). The main issues with this article: It was tagged as "unreferenced" since 2007. The contester added one bare URL. That's not actually my point, the topic is very important and already covered in several much better articles. This article is redundant, however it is done (merging, redirecting, deleting - almost anything is better than an almost orphaned sub-standard stub). –89.204.153.224 (talk) 00:23, 25 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
