Move from (1987 game) to (1985 game) edit

According to Moby Games Release Info, this game was released in December of 1985, not 1987. Should it not be moved to (1985 game) and the Japanese/US release dates be clarfied?

  • I'd second this move.

Move from (1985 game) to (1983 game) edit

Since this game came out for the MSX and ZX Spectrum in 1983 (as already noted in the article, with a reference and evidenced by this screenshot), should it not be moved to (1983 game)? - ThomasHarte 14:11, 18 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

It was set as 1985 game because it only referenced the NES game at the time. With both in one article now, 1983 seems fine, as long as 1985 is referenced. --tonsofpcs (Talk) 04:49, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

PSP Remake edit

Going through the list of Bomberman games I noticed the PSP version redirects to this page but has no information on it. I am wondering though if we should incorporate the PSP remake into this article or should we give it it's own article like Bomberman DS. For now I will add the information about the PSP game to this article until we decide for sure where it's going. Xtreme racer 23:44, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Are the MSX and NES versions separate games? edit

I notice that Nuts & Milk, Hudson's first Famicom game, is entirely different between the MSX and NES versions. Are the versions of Bomberman different on MSX and NES and therefore different games? If so, should the MSX game have its own article? If not, could the NES game be a 'remake' of the MSX one, like are the layouts the same and is there enough to warrant it being a remake? 208.101.173.66 17:26, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

They're two completely different games. Different level designs, different game play, different graphics. Bomberman in the MSX version is a little man in overalls and a hat, not a robot. Levels are randomly generated, and you and the floaters can walk through bombs. There are many other gameplay differences as well. The NES version isn't a port or an update. 64.242.225.235 21:21, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Did you mention... "Nuts & Milk"? That won the top spot on the Top 10 Worst Game Names Ever list on GameFAQs! "Whoever thought that name was good needs to be shot, knifed, castrated, and burnt." That was pretty much a direct quote from the list. Yep... --Luigifan 20:58, 3 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Saturn and Hi-ten versions edit

What a shame that the legendary 8 player Saturn Bomberman is not mentioned. I believe that a rare 10 player version of bomberman also exists... 79.68.117.143 (talk) 16:09, 7 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Story edit

Cleaning up the Story section. Grammar, structure, and usage are pretty bad. Should "Story" be subdivided to account for any story in other Bomberman versions? The only one I'm seriously acquainted with is the original Bomberman as I have the instruction manual for it. --Sarienpalth (talk) 12:51, 22 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Spanish version rumour edit

The alleged Spanish version Don Pepe y los globos was mistakenly credited to Bomberman series. It was actually an unofficial port of Balloon Hopper , a videogame released for ZX Spectrum in 1983 by the British magazine Your Computer. Besides, this also was popularized due to a massive trolling campaign.

  • What to do with the current target? Make it a dab? — Andy W. (talk ·ctb) 01:26, 9 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose per WP:TWODABS. This now-blocked anon's string of mostly nonsensical move requests should be reviewed for several likely speedy closes (I already took care of one), as incompetent with regard to WP:AT policy and the WP:DAB guideline.  — SMcCandlish ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ʌ≼  21:22, 11 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. There are more than two games known as "Bomberman" and that's not even when considering the ones with forgettable disambiguation of their own. Per the Wikipedia:Naming conventions (video games), it makes sense to disambiguate the 1983 edition from the 1990 version by using years for both (as the latter already does). The year-less version should redirect to the series list so readers can pick the more precise option.   czar 01:44, 19 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. There are multiple video games named "Bomberman", so the present title is incomplete disambiguation.--Cúchullain t/c 13:38, 24 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
