• Highly unlikely. The magnification of the bokode depends on the focal length of the imaging device (in this case the eyeball). Our eye has a focal length of around 17 mm; the distance between the pupil and the optic nerve. Given the 5mm focal length of the lenslet this would result in a magnification of around 3.5x. But if the features of the bokode are but a mere 25 micrometers wide, then even with this magnification it would be incredibly hard to see something smaller than 0.1 mm wide. So, you would be able to see the bokode somewhat, but probably not be able to make out the detail within unless you approached it very closely. -24.202.1.39 (talk) 05:10, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

In the image, what is the Bokode?

The sentence "The bokode pattern is a tiled series of [something-foo] codes." combined with the left image part, which shows a tiled series of [something-dont know the name] codes makes it very easy to assume that both tiled series of codes are actually the same. Even more so as both contain datamatrix codes.

The tiled series of codes that we talk about is shown in the image that shows a tiled series of codes on the left. But it's not the tiled series of codes seen in the image - it's the red dot! Information per area

The lead states "holds thousands of times more information than a barcode over the same area". Ok - but does the Bokode hold much more that the bar code per actual code in practice? It does not specify the size of the bar code - but the image explicitly shows it next to a bar code. That bar code has, counting image pixels, about 100 times the area of the Bokode. So we are down to 10s of times more information per code... Does not make much sense to me. (It would not be as bad if it would be just a comparison with a missing reference. But the image gives a perfectly clear reference - but unintended and wrong.) Volker Siegel (talk) 06:07, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
