"great to do" edit

"In 1950, G. I. Taylor published two articles in which he revealed the yield E of the first atomic explosion, which had previously been classified and whose publication therefore caused a great to-do." Every undergraduate lecture on the Sedov–Taylor law suggests that the official estimate was classified and this paper was released under the noses of the authorities. But in the opening words of the 1950a paper, "This paper was written in 1941 and circulated to the Civil Defence Research Committee ... This paper has now been declassified." I have never found any contemporary sources suggesting a "great to-do". Can anyone? --194.80.67.14 (talk) 09:02, 31 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Error in first paragraph edit

"High explosives that detonate generate blast waves." is not a complete sentence and I am not sure what it is trying to say. Smithjg4 (talk) 17:53, 29 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

The sentence is complete and correct, but may be confusing at first
(High explosives that detonate) generate (blast waves)
