The result of the move request was: not moved -- JHunterJ (talk) 11:22, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

– Although this song only came out last week, the other topics are not directly called "Black Parade", they are usually related to the hit My Chemical Romance song that has "the" in front of it. This is the only subject specifically titled "Black Parade". JE98 (talk) 20:27, 25 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose – Not the primary search topic for the term "Black parade". Nahnah4 (talk | contribs) 22:24, 25 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose - The Black Parade seems to be the primary topic despite recentism, and will very likely have more long-term significance.--NØ 10:47, 29 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Agree – "The Black Parade" and "Black Parade" are unlikely to be confused with one another and it is highly unlikely a 14 year old album will maintain more long-term significance than a charity single released by a much bigger artist about a much more historical topic. --StatsFreak (talk) 02:58, 30 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose - Premeditated (talk) 08:31, 30 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose, because "this song only came out last week". Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 11:46, 30 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose: It is honestly too soon to say if this song will be the primary topic since it was released so recently. This conversation could be reopened in a year or two, but right now does not seem like an appropriate time. Aoba47 (talk) 06:02, 1 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Chart table edit

Billboard Hot 100 peak in "Charts" table should read 37 not 77. Already correct in the "Commercial performance" section.

See this article for confirmation: [1]

I tried to edit the Table but don't know how they work, ie the {{ }} tags for certain entries.

Infobox and lead edit

  • Why isn't electronica listed under genres in the infobox?
  • I object to the ref in the infobox; write out it was also released under Columbia in the release section instead
  • WP:OVERLINK of Beyoncé under songwriters
  • Swap the release sentence with the production one, also cut this down to being who produced the song and when it was done
  • Make the celebration part the sentence directly after the release one, adding the genres at the start of it

  • Pipe police brutality to Police brutality in the United States
  • "also acting as an" → "also serving as an"
  • "The release of the single" → "The release of the song"

  • Merge the third para with the second one per the overly short size
  • "on July 31 in order to capitalize off of it," → "on July 31, 2020. The simultaneous release could have been capitalize off of,"

Release edit

  • Retitle to Release and promotion
  • Make this the section directly after comp
  • The first sentence also needs a citation to back up the release date of the song
  • The celebrating part from Beyoncé's quote is unsourced
  • Merge the third para with the second one per this also being promo

Composition edit

  • Retitle to Composition and lyrics
  • Img looks good!
  • Consequence of SoundConsequence, piping to Consequence (publication)
  • "brass bands [and]" → "brass bands, [and]"

  • BBC News should not be italicised
  • Only use the surname Wood per an intro already having been provided
  • "lyric in the song references" → "lyrics in the song reference"
  • "to Africa and grows despite" → "to Africa, growing despite" to avoid overusage of and
  • "lyric describes turning a" → "lyrics describe turning a"

  • Use refnames to add the citations from the chart table for these positions

Awards and nominations edit

  • ""Black Parade" won" → "The song won"
