Proposed name change edit

I propose moving this to Black Lake, Delamere, which is the name of the SSSI as well as the geographical location. I'm not sure how formal the "nature reserve" designation, and that name certainly isn't widely used by visitors to the site. Espresso Addict (talk) 16:32, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

No objection from me, though it is a CWT Reserve[1] so the designation as a nature reserve is reasonable. One of User:CheshireWildlifeTrust's creations, again. Dave.Dunford (talk) 19:16, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
After finding this one, I've just gone through the whole set of CWT nature reserves, many of which were miscategorised as being in Cheshire, and none of which paid any attention to the existing article structure, so there are several duplicates of older articles covering pretty much the same area. This seems to be one of the few where someone has bothered to try to rescue the original article -- thanks! I have a whole set of photos of Black Lake which I will try to get around to loading to Commons for convenience. Espresso Addict (talk) 19:42, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I had a go at improving some of the CWT articles, but I have limited sources at my disposal and I'm not an expert on Cheshire. I'm also engaged on another little project at the moment but I may come back to these. Dave.Dunford (talk)
Before my extended wikibreak, I'd worked up the list of Cheshire SSSIs and started to create a few of them, which is a project I do eventually hope to get back to. It is often hard to find any references beyond the SSSI description, though. Espresso Addict (talk) 20:28, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Indeed - my experience was the same. And I found the SSSI listings to be somewhat specialist (concentrating mainly on the species to be found) and often rather out of date. Dave.Dunford (talk) 20:38, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
