Just announced on Bitag last week (and iterated today) na they're willing to burn anyone a copy of their favorite episode for free provided that you bring your own CD. Ayos ito yun nga lang, are they willing to entertain mga fans na wala naman balak gamitin para sa thesis (the idea sprung from the "nursing situation" kasi) and kung puwede mag-dump sila ng sandamakmak na *.avi's na lang sa CD instead of a straight up VCD?

Ayus yan ah, hindi na ko nakakapanood ng BITAG, medyo busy eh. I don't think sine-save nila yun as an MPEG4 AVI though... Nakita ko na archives ng IBC13 noon and turns out they still store stock video episodes in tapes hehe. Ayus yan kung ginagamit nila sa BITAG eh digital editing pero right now, I think the most convenient format for them would be DAT, which is MPEG1, dahil mas mabilis ang post-production pag ganun ang output. Anyway, I'll try to visit the BITAG Action Center or IBC13 sometime when I'm free to know more about this offer, and hopefully have the videos re-encoded (tulungan ko na sila kung hindi sila familiar with MPEG4) and avail myself of nice eps hehe.

Nah, yung problema ko nawawala na mini-RCA cable at nahanap ko. Mahina sound kasi default audio codec 128 kbps e, hindi ko ma-adjust pati na rin screensize. Anong closing words?
BTW: Post ka pa ng ibang videos hehe. I need my Bitag fix! Nakakatawa yung Road Eye Towing at mga Kotong cases dahil talagang kumukulo dugo ni Ben sa kanila e, hehe. At meron ka ba ep nung Power Saver at yung naka-engkwentro niya yung Barangay captain na hinampas niya sa braso?

LOL volume level setting lang yun, nothing to do with sampling rate, 128kbps din ang sakin eh. Yung closing words nya eh yung nakaupo sya sa tapat ng computer at nagfa-final words for the show: "You have to beat the man, to be the man!" hehe. Naleche ang cable feed nung bumagyo a few weeks ago, kaya di ko na-record yung Commander scam... "Katas ng Panggagancho" ata title nun. I'm still working out how to put enough juice in less than 10 minutes for the Baywalk segment... dun talaga nag-uminit si Ben eh. I'll try to squeeze a couple more clips by tomorrow hehe.

Thank you sir! Kahit medyo nilalagnat-lagnat ako naigawa ko pa mag-record ng episode kanina in high-quality 480x360 size with better audio. Si Ben talaga, kaya magpagaling ng may sakit bwaahahaha! Kahapon pala pinagtanggol ni Ben ang "The Coresspondents" mula sa MTRCB a. Unbiased nga talaga siya. Anyway, marami pa magagandang eps sa listahan mo na worth posting: Cybersex (ang pagwawala ni Mark Brickman!), Condominium (classic Ben Tulfo interrogation), Cebu City (2-in-1 nagwala si Tulfo at pina-amo ng pasaway na chair ng LTFRB), Butangerong Ama, atbp!

Sure thing, medyo busy lang kasi ako these past few days kaya di ako nakakapag-edit ng clips. Yung Cybersex sa Cebu (the one with Marc Brickman) medyo oks sya dahil daming nakalusot sa censors haha. Personally I prefer the other Cybersex episode, yung pinaglaruan ni Ben yung dildo LOL. I'll try to have Butangerong Ama up and ready later, and probably up a longer version of the Fake Medicines clip as well. By the way, Bakal Boys was the one with a bunch of "rugby boys" stealing steel piping and bars from construction sites and moving vehicles and selling them to junkshops. Chupapi was the one with the reflexology clinic with male prostitutes.

Nilagyan ng clean-up notice ang "Host" part. Hmmm... medyo masyado nga ata "hammy" yung write-up. Paki-streamline mo na lang yung "Distinction with Tulfo Brothers", bro.

Haha mukhang major editing 'to LOL, medyo naging informal nga yung tone. Sige let's try fixing this, at the same time, mailipat natin sa Ben Tulfo article yung pagtatabasan hehe. Badtrip Sky Cable, napuputol yung feed ng UNTV sa kanila, mas malinaw pa naman yung re-run kanina. At least mas maayos yung Kotongan Sa Baywalk kanina, medyo choppy yung first recording ko eh, lakas kasi ng bagyo nun bleh.

Hmmm, medyo more focused on the nature of Bitag as a show yung profile ni Ben Tulfo dito, so I think it's more appropriate for this article. We can however, expound his profile for the Ben Tulfo article by citing his background in his original public service channel, which is print media (since Ben Tulfo's regular column for Pilipino Star Ngayon, Bahala si Tulfo, was actually where he started with his public service drive)... but that's just me. What do you guys think?

Maganda suggestion mo Miffster, pero saan kaya tayo makakakuha ng info tungkol sa non-Bitag background ni Ben? Birthdate niya di pa nga ako sigurado kung tama, nakuha ko lang sa Friendster-esque account niya sa Marikina (coincidence) website hehe.

I'm open sa idea na maglagay ng mga fresh Ben info, pero IMO gawin nating concise yung medyo mahaba at detailed na "Distinction with Tulfo Brothers" part tapos ilipat sa Ben article. Yung evergrowing na "Ben-agrams", sama kaya natin?

Yep, I guess we can do that, although I think na hindi naman natin siguro kelangan ng very detailed info like his birthday or anything... I was thinking more of like yung story behind his transition from print media to radio and to TV, dahil from the Bahala Si Tulfo column, nag-evolve sya to the BST program on radio station DZME 1530, and ultimately, to UNTV37's Bahala Si Tulfo. Can we consider emailing Ben himself for some help? Haha masyado lang ata ako nagpapapanood ng BITAG LOL

ahaha oh man. Laugh trip talaga yung Ifugao ep, at ang gaganda ng quality. Hopefully mag-post ka pa ng iba, marami pang nakakatawa tulad nung double dead chicken vendor na pinagtawanan si Tulfo tapos everytime na babanat siya ng "malinamnam na fish crackers". Sana marami pa manood pagkatapos makita ang clips. Basta mapagana ko yung sound magpo-post din ako hehe.

As for your recording problem, have you tried splicing a couple of mini-RCA headphone plugs?

I have been following this entry for a month now and it's good to see fellow Bitag fanatics updating this page religiously. My hats off to the two of you...and the others. I would try and help as much as I can outside the use of capturing cards; I inquired at the Cebu forums about what they think of the ordinance just for curiosity's sake. As for the YouTube dillema, copyrighted material is indeed prohibited but no one really follows it and they only crack down on high-profile shows like 24 and Conan.

If it's an external connector (and you're using an old TV tuner card), I believe it's probably a mini-RCA cable (with both ends terminating to a stereo headphone RCA plug). You can get those at Ace or Handyman, otherwise, just splice two mini-RCA headphone plugs so you get a cable with plugs at both ends. I used to connect the TV tuner's audio output to the soundcard's line input using this method years ago. As for Youtube, I really don't want to get into any trouble (my friend got warned a few days ago for posting a recording of their gig which accidentally captured a monitor showing a Japanese PV in the background LOL) so for now, we'll just have to settle for teeny-weeny AV snippets haha.

What a dick. Boy Bato is definitely worthy of inclusion in Ben's formidable rogue's gallery. Looking forward to more highlight clips. I'll check out the mini-RCA cables, thanks. I've also figured out how to get better screencaps; turns out I was using PCTV's horrible propietary software. I couldn't do much with regards to UNTV's hopeless channel 99 reception, but it's at least average.

There you go, Fake Medicines, Shotgun ni Lolo and Ipis Fish Crackers upped and linked for the viewing pleasure of fellow BITAG fanatics haha. Edited Shotgun and Ipis as much as I could to include them funny highlights, although I think they are still too long (more than 5 minutes each). Damn that Ipis Crackers segment is just classic BITAG, probably the funniest in my book. "Ah pinainom kayo ng Pepsi? Baka may gayuma yun?" LOL

By the way guys, I replaced the Taho snippet with a much more "substantial" one. This one is about 4 minutes long, and has more highlights, including his famous foodstuff disclaimer. You can't miss that hilarious negotiation scene between Ben and the proprietor's husband... "Antataba ng mga ipis, para kayong may rancho ng mga ipis dun... ang hirap magsinungaling sa harap ng camera!"

Now that I've seen it again, the Taho extended edition was even funnier than I remembered. I can't stop laughing when he said the roosters were crowing because they had no idea if it was night or day and when he threw a stone at one for no apparent reason bwahaha. Keep the clips coming! I will be able to join the party now that I can get better caps and sound although I have to figure out how to get a bigger resolution than 352x240. I added a Youtube column since it's impossible for us to track down episode numbers and readers have a hard time seeing which write-up has an uploaded video.

Great job with the episode guide layout. Mas nakaka-engganyong mag-contribute pag masisipag din ang mga kasama mo haha... di naman kaya masyado na tayong BITAG-preoccupied? LOL by the way, I use a 352x240 preset for recording (I used to record at high-res kaso sobra laki ng filesize kasi alang codec settings sa tuner app ko), then just capture images and blow them up a bit to about 150% in a photo editor. Nakakatulong din yung exposure adjustment for clearer-looking caps. I'll try to get as much clips and caps up as I can tonight para ayus. BST na naman tomorrow morning so I cleaned up a few gigs for my PVR. Hulog sa BITAG!

I'll be more than happy to provide actual hi-res screenshots or episodes (encoded in MPEG4) if you guys need or just want them. I'm really surprised that there was actually a BITAG entry here at Wiki... thank you guys for regularly updating it.

I'm regularly making AVI snippets of BST segments for a few of my friends. Currently I have snipped the following segments: Syria, Ifugao, Taho and today's BST commentary. I'll try to re-encode the clips to further reduce the filesizes LOL. I have updated "Shotgun Ni Lolo" and "Ifugao" screens as requested. By the way, care to trade BST and BITAG episodes? hehe

Heh. I delete the eps after I record it and take screengrabs, I'm conserving hard disk space. It doesn't have sound anyway, the black wire you connect to the audio ports of the soundcard and TV tuner is missing, hehe. I'm thinking of uploading certain clips at Youtube in the future before deleting them, maybe you should too. BTW: what other eps do you have? I'm going to add them on the episode guide. Can't say I remember "Syria" though.

I would love to watch that again (as well as other funny highlights) in Youtube. But is there a better screenshot? You can barely see anything there. How about the (sic) wall of stacked roaches? Also, you might want to specify that the "dupang na recruiter" pic is a TV screenshot or it might get deleted.

Fair use rationale for Image:Bitag tanod sub.jpg

Image:Bitag tanod sub.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Bahala si BITAG...

I want to suggest for a seperate article for BAHALA SI BITAG, the commentary-interactive show also hosted by Ben Tulfo, shown on UnTV 37, since the programme is a spin-off of the main programme "Bitag".

I think "Mr. Bitag" had always pointed out the difference between the 2 programmes on BSB programme.

Request for Deletion

Good day.

On behalf of my close colleague, I am requesting for a page deletion.

The reason why is because of the information placed within this article. Along with several articles related to Bitag, they are inaccurate and outdated. The info-boxes on the right display self-serving information in which I find it unacceptable.

Ben Tulfo was never a Producer and Carlo Carongoy and some editors are no longer a part of my colleague's company.

I hope you understand. This has to be done in order to avoid confusion and opposition towards his media history.
