Confusion edit

As of 4 September 2009, AllMusic is confusing Billy Rankin (guitarist), as per this article, with Billy Rankin (drummer) who played for Brinsley Schwarz and other bands in the 1960s and 1970s

A-level edit

It is possible but unlikely that Rankin studied for an A-level at a Scottish school, despite the assertion of the source. Despite the omission of mention from the article, did he attend a school in England or one of the Scottish private schools that offers English qualifications? Good spot, Scottish state schools usually do "Highers", however we are stuck with the source, unless we can find something to the contrary.
I don't know anything about music teaching in Scottish state schools in the 1970s, but how many would have had a cello teacher? - Arjayay (talk) 13:07, 10 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
