IP vandal removing Chennai from AirAsia India edit

There's an IP vandal who is repeatedly removing Chennai from the destination list of AirAsia India. [1], [2], [3], [4]. The reference cited clearly lists Chennai for the entire winter schedule, despite that this IP repeatedly removes Chennai from the list. It's probably time to protect the page from further disruption by these IPs who I believe is the same user.  LeoFrank  Talk 05:01, 2 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Vistara to Bangalore edit

SaUp2014 has been adding Bangalore as a destination citing a tweet from the airline as a source. This tweet though official, cannot be used as a source as one, it is a video and two, there is no mention of a start date. They then re-add Bangalore citing Vistara's page on "Exploring Bhubaneshwar". This source does not mention Bangalore in the list. Delhi is the only destination listed. Unless, one, there is a firm date mentioned in some secondary source or if there is an update in the airline's schedule page, this entry should not be added.  LeoFrank  Talk 02:54, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

LeoFrank has been asking for the start date of a route which is already operational. You may check the operational history of flight UK714/713 for more. Also, the source Explore Bhubaneswar does show Bangalore as destination. It won't show today, i.e. 16-10-2020, because it is not operating. The flight operates only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. You may check the flight schedule as well to confirm. SaUp2014 (talk) 06:02, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
SaUp2014, Once again, WP:IDIDNTHEARTHAT. You are still failing to prove your edits. Your very claim that the destination is not listed at Exploring Bhubaeswar itself shows you yourself have failed to prove this. You also need to look into WP:BURDEN.
@Fylindfotberserk: please weight in here. SaUp2014 does not seem to understand anything and is revert warring again and again just to prove a point.  LeoFrank  Talk 06:38, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
LeoFrank, I've already proven, I don't need to prove it again and again. I have already told you that the route appears on the website on the day it operates. The flight operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. If you want to confirm, confirm through this link. You may check any future date which fall on the respective mentioned days. As simple as that. SaUp2014 (talk) 07:01, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
SaUp2014, Sorry, you haven't proven. Neither do the schedules page nor does the Exploring Bhubaneshwar page list Bangalore to Bhubaneswar. Yes, you have failed to prove it yet again.  LeoFrank  Talk 07:12, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Jetstreamer: Please weigh in here.  LeoFrank  Talk 07:15, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
LeoFrank, please check the dates that lie on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Don't tell me the same thing if it magically appears on both the pages tomorrow i.e. Saturday. I don't think you have even tried. If you would have tried, you'd have seen it by now. SaUp2014 (talk) 07:20, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@LeoFrank and SaUp2014: I could not find it in this PDF and the tweet link is broken (or have been removed), but BBI to BLR does show up here in Vistara's site for dates that are Tue/Thu/Sat. Is it a new flight? If this company link is contentious, we can use a WP:Independent source like a news article. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 07:25, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
SaUp2014, It does not show up now, simple. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball.  LeoFrank  Talk 07:28, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Fylindfotberserk: I just checked the schedules page. BLR to BBI or BBI to BLR do not show up in the list. I see only DEL, BOM and PAT listed from BLR and only DEL listed from BBI.  LeoFrank  Talk 07:30, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Fylindfotberserk, thank you for the clarification on the mentioned. Much appreciated. SaUp2014 (talk) 07:32, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Fylindfotberserk: Yes, this is a new flight with no start date mentioned and no mention in any of the sources that SaUp2014 pointed out. I believe it should be considered as original research till SaUp2014 provides an independent source and proves what they are adding.  LeoFrank  Talk 07:36, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
LeoFrank, the start date is mentioned on the schedules page itself i.e. 13-OCT-2020. You may confirm. SaUp2014 (talk) 07:40, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
Yeah an WP:Independent source would be necessary at this point to seal the deal. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 07:51, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
Added. Deal sealed. SaUp2014 (talk) 07:56, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
SaUp2014, what independent source have you added here? You have just removed the sources you had cited, but Bangalore still remains in the list. I am removing it per WP:WAIT. The start date in the schedules shows up only when you search, but not from the schedule table. Such searchable items are always questionable which is why booking engines are never used as sources and the same goes for searchable schedules.  LeoFrank  Talk 09:23, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
So LeoFrank, you're telling me that it has to appear on the list after clicking on the link. But unfortunately, then none of the Bhubaneswar's destinations would show up. Either you have go to the next page or you have to search to get the list of destinations. Or do you want me to make changes to the article every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday? Even after discussion closure, you are coming here and telling me that the only official source available isn't concrete. Let me tell you some of the facts. Firstly, Vistara operates on BBI-DEL route daily that is why you see it on the table everyday. Secondly, the table changes everyday based on the routes to be operated everyday. Thirdly, Bangalore and Delhi are Vistara's only operational routes to and from Bhubaneswar. SaUp2014 (talk) 10:26, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
SaUp2014, Searchable timetables are not reliable.
Agrees above to add an independent source, but reverts back here without doing so. And then goes on to add the domestic map which is indicated as an upcoming route. So, once again, this guy fails to verify their own addition.  LeoFrank  Talk 15:13, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Prolix: This same behaviour of the user on this article as well.  LeoFrank  Talk 15:16, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
LeoFrank, He refuses to admit he's wrong and keeps reverting edits. Prolix 💬 16:21, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
Prolix, Indeed. WP:IDIDNTHEARTHAT. Time to take it to WP:ANI?  LeoFrank  Talk 17:18, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
LeoFrank, if he remains intransigent we might just have to. Prolix 💬 17:56, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
LeoFrank, I don't think you see things carefully. Please visit the route map again and differentiate between what's upcoming and what's not. How do you see Bhubaneswar Bangalore as an upcoming route? I only see Dehradun as an 'upcoming route'. Kindly go through it carefully. I don't want to correct you every time. I have proven each of my edits, and this guy here comes up here to deliver baseless information. Please go through it carefully again. SaUp2014 (talk) 15:30, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
SaUp2014, flight schedules should not be used as sources at all. The only other source you shared doesn't list the flight you've been adding. Please find a better source, the addition of this flight will have to wait until then. Prolix 💬 16:11, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
Prolix, I haven't shared this source as mentioned by you, instead I removed it because it hasn't been updated since 29 March. The references I have added are the only references which validate the routes. Thank you. SaUp2014 (talk) 16:18, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
SaUp2014, my mistake. Doesn't change the fact that flight schedules are not valid sources. Please stop edit warring, its incredibly annoying behaviour and doesn't help your case one bit. Prolix 💬 16:21, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Reiterating again, kindly bring WP:Independent source. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:33, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Fylindfotberserk, how about this route map? Wouldn't that count as a WP:Independent source? SaUp2014 (talk) 16:48, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Prolix, if you go through the whole conversation here, you would get to know that it's not me who is annoying here. I didn't want to start this all, I was clear from the start. SaUp2014 (talk) 16:48, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

@SaUp2014: That vistara source is from the company. So it is not independent. Independent source(s) mean third-party sources. Try finding one from another agency: news sources for example, The Hindu, Times of India, etc. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:04, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
Fylindfotberserk, I understand what you are saying. But at this point of time, there are a total of four sources that we have. First, the schedule list from the website. Second, the route map from the website. Thirdly, the Exploring Bhubaneswar page. And at last, the tweet. As you may see, the website sources do show BBI-BLR route. Independent sources once available, will be added too. SaUp2014 (talk) 19:39, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
SaUp2014, it's not me who is annoying here. I didn't want to start this all. -- If you just learn to listen and correctly cite as per what is told to you, by now, not just me, but two other editors as well, it would be helpful. Your responses and your reverts are just to make a point  LeoFrank  Talk 17:32, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
LeoFrank, FYI, since you couldn't find Bangalore in my shared links, go ahead and check them now. Check the flight schedule. Secondly, check Exploring Bhubaneswar page. The things you couldn't see yesterday, can be seen today. Now the question is, why aren't these sources acceptable now? They were not acceptable yesterday, would they be acceptable now? They will be. But, I would be more than happy to add the independent source once available as well. I would like to rest this case now. Done and dusted. SaUp2014 (talk) 19:39, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
