Charles Merriman edit
Charles Merriman the Younger committed suicide at Besthorpe Mll on 29 April 1901. His father, Charles Merriman, was the miller and the son worked as a miller in the mill, according to the 1901 Census Entry. As the father was elderly and in poor health the son was probably actually running the mill.
His death is recorded in the Newark Registration District, April-May-June Quarter 1901, Volume 7b, Page 255. The cause of death stated on the Death Certificate is "Suicide by cutting his throat with a razor during a fit of temporary insanity".
Charles Merriman the Elder died in 1902 having taken over Besthorpe mill about 1883.

Map edit
I have updated the page and added an infobox to it. Unfortunately, the map is showing Besthorpe to be in Lincolnshire in the wrong location and I am not sure how to fix it. If anyone does know how to fix it, then please do so. Thanks AustinRedd007 (talk) 12:41, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
