The English Wikipedia article Bernardo Ibáñez has been in mainspace since 2013, but Bernardo Ibáñez Águila is the older article overall, as it has existed as a draft since 2012. Other editors are free to correct me if I am wrong, but I believe newer articles are supposed to be merged into their older versions to properly preserve history. Also, Chileans seem to use both surnames publicly, pretty regularly (see Sergio Arellano Stark for an example). Vycl1994 (talk) 04:48, 19 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
