"and their low quality and the variant spellings, which might reflect a low standard of literacy" Wrong. This is a fairly common misconception. It wasn't until the 19h Century & the introduction of universal education, which necessitated standard spellings & led to the first dictionary, that "spelling errors" became true; before that, words were commonly spelled as they sounded, even by very learned & literate people. This is, btw, 1 reason the myth of more than one Shakespeare, based on variations of the spelling of his signature, is untenable; spelling was, until the dictionary, extremely idiosyncratic... Hyphenated name? edit

There is no support for hyphenating this name! It is normally rendered Belatucadrus or Belatucadros by scholars and, like all ancient Celtic compound names, it is treated as a single word. How do we do a name change on this article? Cagwinn (talk) 22:20, 22 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Fixed this, and corrected the form on the Celtic deities template. Fixed a few in articles as well. We'll see whether anyone objects. Cynwolfe (talk) 03:00, 25 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
