Sources edit
I've just added a "further reading" section with a pointer to a 1976 monograph about the dialect. One easy to find source is this paper in Language in India, 17:8 (2017), but it appears to be completely useless, so I'm not going to add it. – Uanfala (talk) 21:43, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
Article title edit
The article was originally created at Begushoraiya Maithili (and then again copy-and-pasted there after the page got renamed). Should that be the preferred spelling? I reckon it's possible that may better reflect the local pronunciation, but we'd need evidence for that, as well as at least some indication the spelling is being used in English. All that I can find online are wikipedia mirrors. "Begusarai", on the other hand, is the spelling used the single available English source (see above), it has some uses online, and it matches the title of the respective region article (Begusarai district). So, unless something new comes to light, Begusarai Maithili should be the preferred title. – Uanfala (talk) 11:36, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
