Kernel upstreaming edit

It's worth noting that Kent (the author of Bcachefs) has only said it might be ready in 2022. In a comment he's said he's in no rush to upstream it (see https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30934531 ).

I removed this change from the article due to lack of an appropriate citation.
Please read through the rules about use of primary sources. Particularly:
"Do not analyze, evaluate, interpret, or synthesize material found in a primary source yourself; instead, refer to reliable secondary sources that do so."
A git project page shows that work is being done on Linux kernel integration. Certainly it is evidence of collaboration between Kent and Linus. However, it is not proof of bcachefs having been upstreamed and released with the Linux kernel as your update to the article implied.
Presently, there are no published articles whatsoever which support the claim that the Linux 6.1 kernel release includes bcachefs. This would be an enormous and newsworthy milestone. Yet Phoronix, which has covered bcachefs extensively over the years, as recently as October 2022, has made no mention of this in their article about Linux 6.1 kernel features. Even the developer, Kent Overstreet, doesn't mention this on his own Patreon page (though even if he did that would be a primary source, so still not good enough).
It appears that this feature is still in development and has not been fully integrated or released yet. 185.212.5.236 (talk) 16:22, 5 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Can confirm that the linked git page does not show upstream status. A recent Phoronix page https://www.phoronix.com/news/Bcachefs-For-Review-Linux only mentions a new round of submission. Artoria2e5 🌉 19:48, 10 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
