I'll get to this shortly.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 03:53, 12 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • A couple of DABs; external links OK.
    • Don't forget these.
      • Fix the DAB to Seleucus and we'll be done here.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 21:05, 21 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
        • Sorry, got sidetracked with cleanup of new Greece-related articles. Fixed now. Constantine 21:57, 21 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • vacant royal title Who's title, Alexander's?
    • Yes, in an indirect way; Alexander was succeeded by his son and half-brother, but both were murdered. As such, the Macedonian royal title was vacant for a few years, but I am loath to use this formulation, since the royal title extended now far beyond Macedonia. The royal title among the first successors was personal and not territorial, for instance Demetrius was still a basileus even while in exile after 301 BC. Only after the states and dynasties became somewhat established ca. 280 BC did the royal title borne by each Hellenistic ruler begin to refer to relatively fixed territorial entities. This is all rather complicated and too much for the scope of this article. Any suggestions?
      • I'd probably go with "Alexander's crown" which emphasizes that it's a personal thing and not territorial like "Macedonian" and "crown" is a little more specific than "title", IMO.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 16:04, 21 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • 15,000 infantry an 500 cavalry, and his fleet 53 heavy ships (7 heptereis, 10 hexereis, 20 quinqueremes) and upwards of 110 lighter vessels (triremes and quadriremes) Fix the typo and the latter part of of this bit reads a bit awkwardly.
    • Fixed and rewritten.
  • the fullest and probably most reliable account of the battle Put a comma after fullest and another after reliable.
  • Link infantry, cavalry, javelin, ram
  • massive but failed invasion commas after massive and failed.
  • his realm was broken up among the victors Add "and divided" after broken up.
  • Add publication data for Diodorus.
Hi Sturmvogel 66 and thanks for the review! I've fixed most of the issues you raised as far as I could, except one. I'll think it over a bit to see if I can find a way to describe this without going into too much extraneous detail. Constantine 14:54, 21 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
