Does this battle even exist, and is if it does, is it a defeat or victory?

is plagiarism legal on wikipedia?

Because of the fact that Wikipedia is under the GNU Free Documentation License, Wikipedia articles are free content, so anyone can copy from them, as long as it's not used for commercial redistribution. Mormant or Mormans edit

So what is it? French Wiki calls it the Battle of Mormant. It was fought in Mormant. I think this was a typo.

  • COMMENT: The Russians were commanded not by Petr Alekseyevich Palen, but by his son. REPLY: You are correct. It has been changed to Pyotr Petrovich Palen, the son.
  • COMMENT: French Wiki calls it the Battle of Mormant. It was fought in Mormant. I think this was a typo. REPLY: You are correct. The name has since been changed from Mormans to Mormant.
