Henry D'Arcy?

• "Lieutenant D’Arcy of the Frontier Light Horse was recommended for the Victoria Cross but denied on the grounds of him being a colonial. This was later rectified."

Henry Cecil Dudgeon D'arcy was awarded a VC, but for a different action some months later. Same guy? "[L]ater rectified" sounds like he was belatedly decorated for Hlobane.

• "... and five companies of the 80th Regiment."

I presume this is the 80th Regiment of Foot (Staffordshire Volunteers), but I can't confirm it.
