"Battle" edit

How widely used is the name the "Battle of Carfax" and when was it coined?

A search for the phrase on the British Newspaper Archive produces zero results. A Google search produces few results but indicates Dave Renton might have coined it in a 1996 pamphlet.

Obviously follows the model of the Battle of Cable Street where "around 175 people were injured"; how many were hospitalised after this skirmish? Nedrutland (talk) 09:24, 14 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Dave Renton's booklet Red Shirts and Black is the most complete piece of research that I could find on the events, so it made up the backbone of the wiki page.
As for when and where exactly the term "Battle of Carfax" was coined, I am not certain. The History Wizard of Cambridge (talk) 19:09, 14 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
