If anybody knows the history/significance of Poet's Corner (the corner of the Entrance Road and Coleridge Road, near the Bus depot) can you please post it here! 124.184.25.23 10:28, 17 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I think it's just called Poets Corner because all the surrounding streets are named after famous poets (eg Coleridge, Kipling, Keats, Shakespeare, Wordsworth, Marlowe).218.214.77.123 (talk) 13:53, 10 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Does anyone know when construction first began (Month/Year) on Bay Village? It opened January 24th 1985 (source: someone who was there). Thanks.Rainmannsw (talk) 01:25, 18 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

edit

I have tagged this article as reading a bit like an advert due to its overwhelming wealth of tourism style information. Please have a look at another Australian suburb that is currently a featured article, Waterfall Gully, South Australia for ideas on what the article should look like. Thanks. Agree. needs some work to make it conform to other suburbs. Steven Fitter 01:22, 31 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Speaking of advertising, I think we should delete the blatant plug by Dmitri Ischenko.218.214.77.123 (talk) 14:11, 10 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Establishment date edit

As with many other Central Coast suburb pages, the establishment date is completely incorrect. Bateau Bay existed long before 1991. The information is being culled from a government site but that being said, it is incorrect.

Agreed. Is there an official history of the shire? In WA just about every shire (even the tiny ones) have produced a book which can be found in both the local library, and in the State Library of WA, which usually give a fairly solid history of most metropolitan areas and are a good guide to establishment dates. Bateau Bay - Trivia - name of road edit

In the trivia section there is reference to Bataan Close. This is incorrect. It is Bataan Circuit. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 125.254.72.89 (talk) 10:53, 4 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

I agree with the Advertising tag. This is crap. The Tourism section lists accomodation and its facilites! This is more of a writing style seen in flyers at a local Hotel. This is an encyclopaedia.
