The entire article needs to be rewritten for clarity. The statement that undecimal requires 11 symbols for the decimals 0 through 10 is a restatement of decimal counting, as 0 through 10 in a traditional decimal counting system IS eleven decimals (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10). Starting with two fists to represent zero is the same as is done with a decimal system. In short, this article in fact explains little of undecimal and instead confuses the reader with the normal decimal system.
- I agree that this article could be more clear, however at the very least, the second paragraph you refer to ought to be deleted (or perhaps rewritten to include your nose as the eleventh digit, though that wouldn't seem to help much, given that you would still need a new word for that digit ("A"), and that was already described in the first paragraph). As it is, it obviously describes the decimal system rather than undecimal and seems likely to confuse readers. I won't delete now, respecting the seriousness of deleting content, but I would argue that it seems appropriate here. Phrenq 12:53, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
