Talk:Barry Lupino

Two; rather than one ? edit

There is something not quite correct here. How can someone who died in 1962, have produced television shows until 1969 ! I think there may be two individuals of the same name getting confused in other records, and thus being listed together.

One appears to be a comedian and film actor, whose birth and death dates are probably correct as quoted in this article, who appeared in films in the 1930s and early 1940s. The other is a television director/executive who worked in the 1960s. Certainly this name appears in Born Brilliant: The Life Of Kenneth Williams, circa 1966, and refers to Lupino as 'an executive'.[1]

The former would not have produced The Fred Emney Show in 1957, at the age of 75. Sorry, I do not have the time to explore this further at present, but perhaps someone can follow it up. Thanks,

Following, somewhat belatedly on from the above comments, I have removed the television production work wording, which clearly is another person.
