Adding new page for Barabara Corcoran (Young Adult Author)

There was another person by same name who wrote prodigiously and was highly regarded as an author of young adult novels. She passed away >15 years ago and most of her books have gone out of print. I was surprised to find that there was nothing on her life and works on Wikipedia so I am putting together information to make a page, and want to suggest that for purposes of disambiguation, the title of this page should be changed to Barbara_Corcoran_(Celebrity_Business_Personality) and the page I plan to create would be titled Barbara_Corcoran_(Young_Adult_Author). Tossing the idea out to the editors of this page first. Strange Behavior on DWTS

I think this needs to be removed: here is what talk page guidelines say: The purpose of an article's talk page (accessible via the talk or discussion tab) is to provide space for editors to discuss changes to its associated article or WikiProject. Article talk pages should not be used by editors as platforms for their personal views on a subject. When talk pages in other namespaces and userspaces are used for discussion and communication between users, discussion should be directed solely toward the improvement of the encyclopedia.

Talking about what she did or didn't say on a reality TV show is not within those guidelines by even the most flexible yardstick. Come one people, act like editors please.

Age of Corcoran's Daughter

It does not make sense to me to "update" her daughter's age to ten [1] in the statement "On the April 18, 2014 episode of Shark Tank, Corcoran said one of her children is a seven-year-old adopted daughter". If the age is "updated" to ten, the reader is likely to do their own math and, if calculated today, would incorrectly think the daughter must be thirteen years old now. Also, who is going to add a reminder to their calendar to come and update it to eleven in another six months? Willondon (talk) 17:05, 10 October 2016 (UTC)

Review by Bentbloc

The lead section does a good job of explaining who she is, and what she does while being concise. The second paragraph of this section might fit better in the career section. The content is relevant to Barbara as a person. Even though she has had controversies in the past those are rightfully not included. The tone is neutral and unbiased drawing on an array of sources while maintaining a clear focus. The images do a solid job of capturing Barbra's energy. The whole article is written quite to the point, and the paragraphs are broken down well into relevant topics and sub points.

we have a large realty group in new england called "john m corcoran & co". is there some connection?

he passed in 2003 at age 80. i assumed it was her father, and that this WAS her company, but now reading the article, i find neither to be the case.
