Birth edit

Baba Banda singh bahdur was born in mohyal bhramin family according to chowen rattan by rajori scholar giani singh. Baba Banda Singh bahadur is also popular as baba Banda Singh bairagi. Baba Banda bairagi born in a Hindu family therefore, baba Banda Singh is a Hindu by birth — Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.224.224.204 (talk) 18:32, 9 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Repeated unreferenced claims of violence against Muslim civilians edit

This page, as well as the page on Samana, Punjab, and the page about the Battle of Samana, seem to keep being edited to include sentences about Banda Singh indiscriminately slaughtering thousands of Muslim civilians. This seems incredibly out of character with established history sources. No reference is given whenever these edits are added to any of these pages, except a reference to a Punjabi text about Banda's life, in which I cannot find any mention of such atrocities. I have thus removed these claims from these three pages. ★Sunny_bacon★ (talk) 01:04, 12 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Can someone add source of his baptization? edit

1. The current Wikipedia article says "who came to Nanded to collect forces and live last years of his life, he gave Lachman Dev the new name of Banda Singh Bahadur, after the Baptism Ceremony.". Can someone add a citation for this claim? 2. According to Prachin Panth Prakash (Episode 60), there was s split between Banda and Sikh, and Banda adopted "Darshan Fateh" as his slogan. He further started wearing red robes - http://www.sikhmuseum.com/nishan/colors/chronicles.html. Is this not important to mention this split?

Banda Singh Bahadur Caste edit

As you know there are many rajputs including me whose gotra is bharadwaj. That doesn't make us brahmin. Banda Singh Bahadur is a rajput. He is born in rajput family. But some Brahman wanted to claim him because they don't have any warriors like him.

It's not right. The actions of Brahmin community shouldn't be tolerated. 2405:201:600C:FFC4:8FF:5CD1:AE75:B4EE (talk) 23:36, 5 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

"jago rajput jago or padhai likhai kiya karo warna jahil hi maroge" this is going to wake you up from your sleep, "baji rao 1" only indian in the recorded history who never lost any battle, 41 total and not only in india but also among the handful who never lost a war, but to clear your illusions there is no rajput or any warrior for that matter even in brahmins who have not lost any battle, so yes for you a warrior who has not lost any battle is below a warrior who has lost a battle, so that debunks your theory of brahmin claims over banda singh because even without him brahmins have the greatest undefeated warrior india has ever seen, "jago rajput jago or padhai likhai kiya karo warna jahil hi maroge" 2405:201:4023:581D:3157:2EFB:240E:664E (talk) 21:31, 14 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Execution_2 part is a duplication and is out of context. edit

The Excution_2 part that follows [Excommunication and rivalry with Tat Khalsa] is a duplicated part of the previous [Execution] part. The picture along with its attributes can be copied to the original part Banda Singh Bahadur#Execution and the duplicate part may be deleted.

The duplicated part also sits out of context while the original part follows a proper flow in the text. Abhijitkazi (talk) 05:44, 19 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Done. Thank you for pointing it out. Southasianhistorian8 (talk) 09:54, 19 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
