I created the article as a stub, and I have not had time to add more content. If you doubt Banda Calypso is a notable band, check it out on YouTube. They have concerts attended by tens of thousands of people, and they have sold millions of cds. Its a no-brainer.Anthony717 (talk) 19:38, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

I agree with you that Banda Calypso is a popular and influential band and deserves a WP article, but the English needs considerable improvement. I have been translating the Portuguese WP into some kind of readable English. However, much of the Portuguese is a rather breathless rendition by a fan of the band. The English needs to be toned down to a more neutral POV and requires more citations. I would appreciate whatever help is out there to improve this article. OK, I admit you´ve got me confused. Under ´2006-2007´ you write in the Portuguese WP: ´Em setembro de 2006 lançam Pelo Brasil, o álbum vendeu 1.000.000 cópias sendo o DVD mais vendido da história da música brasileira, com 2 milhões de cópias vendidas.´ So which is it, 1 million copies sold or 2 million copies???
