This is not a user's page, this is a perfect neutral page. The user's page concerning Yogi Khane is the web site : www.iiy-yogikhane.ch Yogi Khane is one of the most important yoga masters in Europe. He wrote a lot of books and articles about yoga. He is member of the World Yoga Council, and his Institute is member of the International Yoga Federation. He will be in May 2009 (8, 9, 10) the guest of honour of the international yoga conference organized by the Fidhy in Annecy (France). There are pages about other yoga masters in Wikipedia. Unless someone can find some independent, reliable sources to demonstrate notabilty of the person, the article should probably be deleted. --Ronz (talk) 19:49, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Nobody could deny that Babacar Khane, in despite of his humility and discretion, is at present one of the most important yoga masters in Europe, a member of International Yoga Organizations, author of many books and articles, published in several languages. There were articles about him in many magazines (for example Newsweek). A photo of him was in the magazine "Le Point", in 1973. With Dr. Ph. Baumgartner, he played a very important rule in the introduction of yoga in medical treatments in Europe. Is'nt it notable ? Do you think that Gérard Blitz, who was during several years the Secretary of the European Union of Yoga, was not a reliable source of information ? Is it necessary to do a translation of what Gérard Blitz wrote in French language about Babacar Khane ?HID-IIY (talk) 01:07, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

I agree with Ronz, it needs more sources. They may be hard to find electronically for someone with no particular knowledge - which is what one would expect, which is why I think you should have the time to find them and put them in. Things like reviews of his books (came across one in a cursory search), sources about him, not by him, are what is needed. If there are articles about him in Newsweek or Le Point, then this article is unlikely to be deleted once they're cited.John Z (talk) 02:37, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

A photo of B. Khane in a yoga posture was published by "The Point" in September 1973, in an article about the first International Yoga Conference organized by the European Union of Yoga in Zinal (Switzerland). More details will arrive later.HID-IIY (talk) 23:45, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, the photo representing Khane performing a hatha-yoga asana was published not in the magazine Le Point, but in the French magazine L'Express, 30 sept-6 oct. 1974, p. 55.Recently the Spanish version of Yoga Journal, N° 21, published an interview and photos of Khane. For several years, a paragrap about his yoga method was published by the French magazine ElleHID-IIY (talk) 11:52, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

I completed some references given by the previous redactors. Some important personalities (Gérard Blitz, Marie-Madeleine Davy, Senghor) wrote about Khane. Davina Delor, too. She is well-known in France for his previous TV-programms. It seems that Khane's work about "Egyptian Yoga" has been recognized in Europe and Africa (a lot of articles could be cited about this subject) since many years. There are today some people who assert themselves to be the inventor of "Egyptian yoga" and write a lot of books about this subject. But Khane's writings are anterior and its importance has been previously recognized by several incontestable personalities85.6.11.203 (talk) 13:51, 7 January 2009 (UTC).

The Wikipedia conflict of interest guidelines (WP:COI) apply when there is evidence for an editor having a close personal/business connection and a promotional interest in the topic. At some previous time it may have been the case that this particular article needed cleanup, but when viewing this page, and having knowledge of the subject matter, I find there to be nothing that would suggest this particular article lacks neutrality or that the editor of this article was somehow biased in favor of the person being presented.
