Merge into BMW 650 single Article? edit

Should we merge the content from this article into BMW 650 single? yes hello, nprice (was) here. (talk) 18:01, 24 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose No justification is offered for the merge. Why merge? I might be open to it if I knew what the benefits were.

BMW F650CS is 1,107 words and BMW 650 single 853 words, so you'd get a 1,960 word article that was more than half about the short-lived and not very successful CS variant, giving kind of an imbalanced picture. Instead, the first improvement should be to expand the parent article BMW 650 single with a larger summary of the contents of the child article BMW F650CS. Then expand BMW 650 single for better coverage of the other, more important, 650 single models. After all that's done, then maybe discuss a merge. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 19:57, 24 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

    • That makes more sense, although I really don't think there's too much content in this article to merge over in its entirety, either way. The rest of the related content simply needs expansion. yes hello, nprice (was) here. (talk) 15:19, 27 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose for the same reasons as Dennis. --Biker Biker (talk) 20:05, 24 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
