Wow, this page is terrible. The roster used is hardly good quality, as that is fairly much our B team. Maybe we should make it like a squad. Any pictures anyone has would be good. • Oppose The idea of adding "men's" into article names for various sports has been discussed many times and the consensus has generally been not to do it. I notice that you have missed Australia national association football team from the list and I guess there are likely others as well. While these teams may consist primarily (or even exclusively) of men, unless there is evidence that these teams are in fact restricted to men only then they should be presumed "open". • Oppose the current list (with adjustments for complete-ness) being changed. If it were to be done it would need to be done for all national teams, not just Australia's national teams: there are many different templates that are predicated on the team's articles being named a certain way. In at least some cases, if you heard the phrase "... the Australian *insert sport here* team..." on the news (and I'm thinking specifically of cricket and the various football codes at the moment), the majority of people, if not everyone, would assume the men's team was being referenced. I would have thought that at least where that's the case, WP:COMMONNAME says it should stay as is and doesn't need to be changed.  Afaber012  (talk)  07:03, 26 July 2011 (UTC)

Either every single national team for every nation in every sport should be distinguished between men's and women's, or (and this would be my preferred course of action despite the work and potential troubles involved) each pairing of national teams in every sport needs to be considered as to whether one is more common/well-known/thought-of-by-default/etc and have that one named "*nation* national *sport* team" and the other named "*nation* *gender* national *sport* team".  Afaber012  (talk)  10:59, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

• OPPOSE! I can see the point why some people would like this article to be renamed. However, there is a common standard regarding national sports teams in Wiki articles. Nearly every country's national men's sports teams did not add "men's" in their articles. Therefore, it is reasonable to do the same for this article. 2sc945 (talk) 08:24, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
