Archdeacon edit
I removed the claim that Ridsdale was Archdeacon of Colchester. There was no mention of him ever having been ordained as a priest and his obituary makes no mention of the appointment. In any case, the appointment was filled by other people throughout his lifetime. The claim was based on the NPG's caption which is presumably an error on their part.
