Not Professional edit

I've edited and updated the piece. Can we remove the 'advert' tag now? Alexandermcnabb (talk) 03:29, 4 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

It seems like one of the marketing team of Atlantis had a field day with this article... for one thing, we should get rid of the second-person "you" and replace it with something more journalistic. And get rid of quotes from hotel patrons! This isn't a press release, it's an encyclopedia article! 65.196.126.11 (talk) 17:52, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I agree, deleting main content which does sound like an advert and just having a paragraph to explain the basics, would look better than the current version. If you have the time, please make the required edits, no one is likely to oppose changing this. BritishWatcher (talk) 18:30, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Latest Photos edit

This article could do with a latest aerial photo of the resort. Also, badly required are photos of the attractions themselves. Stick to originals please ! Vanillacream (talk) 18:17, 10 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Negative Press edit

I have removed sections mentioning the controversy with the dophins and the fire which broke out a few days before the resort opened.

There is a separate article dedicated about critism on dolphinariums and therefore I do not believe this should take additional space here. As regards to the fire, mishaps can happen anywhere. One needs to admire that the resort stuck to their guns and opened on the scheduled date. Happy to discuss. Vanillacream (talk) 18:35, 10 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, not to spark an argument or anything but i believe that there should be a link to that controversy page here because it has to do with the hotel and its only fair to, its not like Wikipedia is here to talk about its Pros and not its Cons. Its still useful information people need to know, so it would be greatly appreciated if you re-posted what you deleted, Thank You. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.74.9.166 (talk) 16:57, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

The last thing mentioned was that the section should be reinstated. It never was, so I did it now, also since it seems relevant. 187.133.138.18 (talk) 19:18, 25 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Atlantis Resort Opening 20th of November edit

This article says the resort was opened on the 24th of September. It makes no mention of an opening on the 20th of Novemember, perhaps this was the Offical opening? This needs more information added and some clarification. —Preceding unsigned comment added by BritishWatcher (talkcontribs) 20:40, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

NB: almost all of the "attractions" section is taken verbatim from the article, "Atlantis, The Palm: A nice little place I know" which appeared in The Independent on 27 September 2008: http://www.independent.co.uk/travel/middle-east/atlantis-the-palm-a-nice-little-place-i-know-943642.html Kunalmehta (talk) 15:39, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
