Talk:Atlantic Records discography

There are plenty of sources for this article edit

While this article, if complete, would certainly be large, it is not an impossible task. There are several sources that could be used for this, including Michel Ruppli's published book Atlantic Records: a Discography (1979, Greenwood Press) - reviewed here. There are also several web sources, including the Atlantic Records Discography Project, and The Atlantic Records Story (which includes substantial discography sections). Now perhaps we can concentrate on improving this article rather discussing whether it should be deleted?--Michig (talk) 08:40, 8 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

added these as references in the article.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 16:40, 22 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Organization edit

I would suggest that to keep this to a managable level, this article is limited to album releases on the Atlantic label - distributed albums can be listed under the separate labels. The sources listed above separate the release by series rather than year, which seems a good idea. Any conflicting views?--Michig (talk) 20:37, 8 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

good for now. if anyone ever manages to include ALL the atlantic recordings, i think we would then break the lists out by their series numbers. for now, all anyone has done is 1200-1700. and 8000-8100. i have no idea how many more there are in these series or others, but i bet there are a lot.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 16:39, 22 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Atco, Cotillion etc. edit

Where are they? 197.87.135.198 (talk) 06:45, 26 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

I'd guess they're hard to document. This [1] might be the best resource on google if you wanted to start adding, but I don't know about reliability. TlonicChronic (talk) 17:32, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Mebbe this [2]? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 197.87.63.55 (talk) 13:13, 28 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
That looks useful; I still don't know about reliability, but probably better to have the discography poorly cited than absent. TlonicChronic (talk) 20:19, 28 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
