WP:NPOV require us to present material in an neutral manner. I removed this sentence since it pushes a certain POV and not neutral -> However they were perceived by some commentators as a justification of violence against Muslims

In the edit done, I have kept the controversial remark by subject and the PMO clarification. This is sufficient to allow any reader to create an opinion of their own.

It doesn't quite work that way. You are removing trying to change consensus; you need to show that the material is unnecessary. This is not a recent addition where you can claim BRD.

In any case, the need for that content is fairly obvious. There were two common responses to his comment; the BJP/PMOs view, that they were taken out of context; and the academic view, that they were indication of possible anti-muslim tendencies. Any attempt to maintain neutrality requires presenting both views. If anything, even the current version is biased (see WP:CLAIM). Vanamonde93 (talk) 18:47, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

Assessment report: B-class requirements

This article may have been B-class but looks like it degraded overtime. Apart from making sure everything is well-referenced, the main issue seems to be the article structure. I see some really not required sections containing lists like "Awards" (too short) and "Positions held"--both can be/are better covered in prose. The main section "As prime minister of India (1996 to 2004)" has numerous subsections, some really short while others really lengthy. Since most of them have sub-articles here, they can be shortened according to WP:DETAIL; each section needs to be of adequate length. Writing better articles is a good essay regarding this. Bharat Ratna

Scalhotrod Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian award in India, it is somewhat a big deal in India. Today it was announced that Vajpayee along with Madan Mohan Malaviya will be getting Bharat Ratna this time -sarvajna (talk) 10:22, 24 December 2014 (UTC)

WP:RELATED in hatnote

The hatnote in this article seems to be in violation of WP:RELATED, which explains that hatnotes are designed to disambiguate between articles with similar article titles that could cause confusion. The ones included in Vajpayee's hatnote are very much properly disambiguated and which can't be reasonably confused with this main article on Vajpayee; they are merely articles related to this topic.

While WP:RELATED doesn't discourage or forbid this use of hatnotes, I agree with their assessment that it's better to summarise these related topics in their relevant subheadings in the main article and use Template:Main—rather than cluttering up the top of the article.

The sources that I can check at the moment, which are Guha 2007 and this source, do not support your terminology; the two sources you provided do not either.
