X-ray dark star edit

This suggestion of splitting off a separate article on X-ray dark stars is a good one. I have been planning to do just this and am happy to see I'm not alone. Part of my interest stems from wanting to explore this apparent X-ray "dividing line" in the H-R diagram among the giant stars as they cross from the main sequence to become red giants. It would also be an opportunity to explore visual stars with proper names to see which are very weak in X-rays and why. Marshallsumter (talk) 23:24, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in Astrophysical X-ray source edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Astrophysical X-ray source's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Wood":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 17:29, 4 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

New - Hard tidal disruption event observed? edit

Following text/refs (see copy below) re the observation of a "Hard tidal disruption event candidate" - I'm not clear at the moment where best to locate the text/refs in the main "Astrophysical X-ray source" article - Comments/Help Welcome - TIA - Drbogdan (talk) 13:15, 25 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

In July 2020, astronomers reported the observation of a "hard tidal disruption event candidate" associated with ASASSN-20hx, located near the nucleus of galaxy NGC 6297, and noted that the observation represented one of the "very few tidal disruption events with hard powerlaw X-ray spectra".[1][2]
