Why is the AAALAC in the animal rights category? It serves specifically as a regulator of animal welfare. --Animalresearcher 15:22, 24 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I would li to see some text on the relationship of AALAC (as a regulator) to the 3Rs (reduce, refine, replace). Does AALAC have a mechanism in IACUCs for nudging researchers to consider 'stretching' their research imaginations to explore the potential (even if it is limited) of knowledge production through a replacement methodology (and why in vitro research methods are inadequate for specific knowledge production goals)?
