In the next 2-3 days there will be a full review here of these, so please don't edit it before I give my final statement.

Lead

edit
  • There should be a reference to the number of the track on the album.   Done
You have yet to add here that is the ninth track. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 00:02, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • "The track's production was handled by Stargate, Tim Blacksmith, and Danny D." → The track's production was handled by Stargate, while additional production was made by Tim Blacksmith and Danny D.   Done
  • "Lyrically, the song discusses someone's doubts while in a relationship, presumably Stefani referring to her recent divorce from husband Gavin Rossdale". → reference is needed and possible on the composition and lyrics   Done

Background and recording

edit
  • "In the same interview, Stefani called the collaboration a "miracle" due to Fetty Wap not showing up to any of his scheduled recording sessions with her". Could you elaborate further? What does she mean with a miracle? How did he eventually featured on the song if he didn't showed up at any recording sessions?   Done
  • There should be a reference to producers, mixers, mastering and other engineers involved in the song. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 19:55, 23 March 2016 (UTC)   DoneReply

Composition and lyrics

edit
  • "while being produced by Stargate, Tim Blacksmith, and Danny D". The latter two were additional production, so the sentence should be ". It was produced by Stargate, whileadditional production was handled by Tim Blacksmith and Danny D."   Done
  • A sample of the song would bring the article to another status. Please read maximum length allowed before uploading the sample.   Done
  • Tempo of the song, key, Stefani's vocal range, chord progession.
I haven't found any sources with this information. Is it absolutely necessary in order for an article to pass? Carbrera (talk) 22:58, 23 March 2016 (UTC)~Reply
Try Sony/ATV music publishing, music notes. I'm sure you can find it there. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 00:04, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
[1] You need to be a client of theirs to view their music notes, and I am not a client. Carbrera (talk) 00:58, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yes and it's not yet available on musicnotes.com. Once the album is released it will be available. How about I put the article on hold until then and meanwhile you fix the rest? MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 15:03, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
@MarioSoulTruthFan: Sounds good, but the album already has been released... Carbrera (talk) 15:07, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Oh, nevermind it's already GA status, I'm going to pass it. However, if it becomes a single it will need more work to keep the GA status. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 00:21, 25 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Oh thank you so much! Of course; if "Asking 4 It" becomes a single (which I'm sure it will), I will put as much into the article that is available. Thanks once again! Carbrera (talk) 00:24, 25 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • More sources claiming the genre of the song.   Done
  • Please put the picture of Fetty Wap or the song sample on the left and the other on the right, in order not to disrupt the article. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 00:23, 24 March 2016 (UTC)   DoneReply

Sample

edit

You don't have the correct composers on the summary of the song, be more careful. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 15:06, 24 March 2016 (UTC)   DoneReply

Critical reception

edit
  • "It's tragic how completely he upstages Stefani by doing exactly what he did for an hour on his debut last year, and how much emotion he conveys in spite of saying maybe two or three comprehensible words during his entire verse." - Needs rephrasing, use your own words.   Done

Track listing

edit
  • There is no other way of purchasing the track, besides purchasing the full album? Can't you only purchase the track?
Correct. There is no other way of purchasing the track.
You removed it, well done. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 00:07, 24 March 2016 (UTC)   DoneReply

Credits and personnel

edit
  • Why do you call it "Management"?
'Management' is used to describe processes handled by management, such as recording studio bookings, publishing company information (ASCAP and BMI info), etc.
It's quite a lot, the definition it's abroad. It makes unnecessary the second part of personnel. Can't you find other word? MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 00:06, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
I hope you don't mind, but many other GA articles use 'management' so I don't see what's wrong with it. Bitch I'm Madonna#Credits and personnel is a beyond fantastically written article and uses 'management' in the same section. Carbrera (talk) 01:23, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
I can see where you coming from. Could you add where the song was registered (ASCAP,BMI...) and the producers the same, so it would be more complete? Afterwards it would be more suitable. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 12:50, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
I'll do that now. Carbrera (talk) 15:07, 24 March 2016 (UTC)   DoneReply
  • "Mike Anderson - recording, tracking". What is tracking?
Tracking is "the initial recording of individual tracks of music to be mixed together later", similar to "recording", but they are credit for "tracking" in the album booklet for This Is What the Truth Feels Like
Here please link "tracking". MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 00:06, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
From the disambiguation page for "tracking", it is suggested you refer to this page: Music tracker.
This is the page: Multitrack recording. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 12:50, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
So is 'tracking' okay or do you want me to change that wording? Carbrera (talk) 15:07, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
It's ok, just do this tracking. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 15:21, 24 March 2016 (UTC)   DoneReply

Overall

edit
  • Has the song charted anywhere or been performed somewhere?
The song has not charted anywhere or been performed anywhere; However, there are enough primary sources to warrant a separate article for this particular song.
I was just questioning because of streaming activity that counts towards charts in a large number of countries. Perhaps next week it will debut in some charts. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 12:52, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Some minor mistakes, they can be easily solved, however I will look the article once more after yo address the issues I have raised. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 19:57, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your review so much! I'll be fixing these mistakes within the next 24 hours. :) Carbrera (talk) 20:48, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
@MarioSoulTruthFan: A sockpuppet has currently been edit-warring on this page. Please do not let this influence you on whether or not this article should pass. This particular user (User:DoItToIt7) has been targeting my Wikipedia pages for the past month now. Thank you. Carbrera (talk) 22:17, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
It will not influence if it doesn't disrupt the article or initiate an edit war. Since that's one of the points the article has to pass to raise GA status. Please warn a senior editor in Wikipedia, in order to prevent those kind of things. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 00:10, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Alright. I have let aware an administrator about the sock, and the user was subsequently blocked. Carbrera (talk) 00:54, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
