Mainly because of weak promotional pushes and lack of strong public relations, the album did not get a fair chance at charting on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited:
  • Interesting:
  • Other problems:
QPQ: Done.

Overall:   @Launchballer: I see this was deleted in 2018 has been outside of mainspace since that time, and that you expanded the recovered deleted version. I have some concerns, mainly that the citation seems a little weak and I don't think reliable enough for this purpose. I am trying to understand what makes this interesting - she was in a film? Are the two related? There doesn't seem to be an article for the film Cheeky and I wonder if it's noteworthy enough to allow for an interesting hook. Fair enough. Try this:
ALT1 ... that before Ashley Jade entered the UK Top 40 as a singer, she had played the lead in the BAFTA Award for Best Short Film-winning About a Girl? --Launchballer 19:27, 6 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I think ALT1 is better, as it at least has something relatable. She only just made it too by the looks of it! The sentence seems a little tongue-twisting towards the end though, so I may suggest perhaps:
ALT2 ... that before Ashley Jade debuted on the UK Singles Chart, she had played the lead in the BAFTA Award-winning short film About a Girl?
As the focus is not necessarily on the fact that it specifically won the short film award, I think we can shuffle it around a little so it flows better? The archive BBC reference supports her involvement in the film and her singles debut is officially recognised too. Bungle (talkcontribs) 21:31, 8 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
QPQ done. Very happy with ALT2.--Launchballer 15:18, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
In which case I think that's fine for ALT2. I'd have liked to have seen a better citation for the birth year than a 2005 blog post, though a search seems to concur with the birth year none the less. As it's a BLP, it'd be good to get something firmer if possible. Bungle (talkcontribs) 17:13, 11 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
IGN is listed as green on WP:RSP.--Launchballer 18:32, 11 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
The casual nature of the post is less than ideal and a firmer citation would still be advantageous, but I can't see anything elsewhere that suggests it's wrong, hence it would be preferable to use something firmer, but I don't think for the purposes of this DYK it needs to be mandated.
