I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Small Error About the Cigars

I suggest the article has an error when talking about the Cuban cigars Charlie, in England, bought and sent to Marshall Field, in Chicago. It says Charlie substituted brands and sent them to Marshall Field.

He didn't substitute brands, that implies they're different cigars. He substituted the cigar bands. He removed the Cuban band and applied some non-Cuban brand band. One would presume he also put them in something other than the original box.

Are there any different views?

Synopsis

Having recently read the novel, there seem to be a few major errors in the synopsis here and also key omissions. For example it says Charlie "marries Rebecca Salmon, who leaves her fiance Guy Trentham for Charlie". This is not the case - Guy tells Becky that they are engaged before going to India, largely so she will sleep with him. It is later made clear he had no intention of marrying her and denies they are ever engaged or that he could be the father of her child when her pregnancy is revealed. It is only after this, and just after Daniel is born that thy marry. Similarly the statement "an art gallery which had been previously sold to Guy Trentham's wife" is wrong. Mrs Trentham is guy's mother who buys the auction house (it is not an art gallery) and other property to block the development of Trumpers as she blames Becky and Charlie for ruining Guy's life. It is much later we find out Guy had a wife in Australia whom he murdered and she had no interaction with the Trumpers. There are also some things that are misleading as the full picture is not recorded her - for instance Becky's second pregnancy results in a premature still birth after Guy forces his way into the house to steal a picture and leaves her unable to have any children. Cathy tells Daniel she thinks she is pregnant, but in fact is not and is going to tell him this when she discovers he had hanged himself. There is also nothing on the fact that Guy Trentham makes an enemy of Charlie during the Great War (trying to get his best friend executed and later being responsible for his death) and that he is ultimately revealed to have been executed for murder, a fact that his mother covers up. I would therefore suggest either the synopsis is cut back, or it is corrected and expanded, as as it stands, I think it gives a misleading account of the book.
