Launch vehicle edit

This article currently claims the launch vehicle was a Cosmos-3M, but NSSDC claims it was an "Intercosmos II." Is this merely a terminology issue? (sdsds - talk) 03:30, 27 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • Intercosmos was a programme under which the Soviet Union launched satellites for other countries. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 09:28, 27 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Two rupee note edit

Hello folks,

this is my first attempt at doing this type of commenting, so please forgive me, if I err.

I would like to suggest an addition to the article on the Aryabhata satellite.

This satellite was commemorated for many years on the reverse of Indian 2 Rupee banknotes and no mention of this is made. It would be of advantage to banknote collectors in identifying the spacecraft on the banknote, also may be of interest to collectors of themed banknotes, looking for additions to their collections.

There are not a lot of banknotes displaying spacecraft.

(SCWPM = Standard Catalog of World Paper Money)

My suggestion would go along the lines of,

BEGIN OF CHANGE

The satellite's image appeared on the reverse of Indian 2 rupee banknotes bewtween 1976 and 1997, (SCWPM v3 ed10 P-79a-m).

(INSERT image of banknote here)

END OF CHANGE

I am not sure, how to upload images into WP yet. Ah, it appears I am not yet permitted, well, I have a nice pic of an example of this banknote and there are others available many times over on the internet.

I think I have a note of this somewhere in my collection. If I can find it, I'll try and scan it..--Rsrikanth05 (talk) 05:40, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
